Owner Audrey O’ Meara qualified with C.I.B.T.A.C. & C.I.D.E.S.C.O. international beauty qualifications from the prestigious Coogan Bergin College of Beauty Therapy in 2002, and through her dedication to continuous learning has now an extensive list of qualifications to her name from make-up to massage therapies, holistic treatments, now specialising in skincare & delivering top class advanced treatments with a caring, positive energy & holistic approach within her clinic.
In 2005, with strong ambition & drive she manifested her own dreams by opening the doors of Secret Essence Birr, offering an array of general beauty treatments from waxing, brows, massage, tan & make-up for which she gained a highly commended reputation & special love for bridal make-up & all things weddings! In 2010, Audrey proudly received a scholarship to train in France with Make- Up Maestro, Serge Louis Alvarez & his team at his academy in the beautiful town of Valence – It was a wonderful experience, working with such a professional, trendy & unique brand, SLA Paris. Something quite special & in such beautiful, inspiring surroundings.
Winning the Irish title of Yonka Salon of the year 2008 was a huge achievement for Secret Essence. As a reward, we were brought to the Yonka Paris headquarters in Paris, France and treated like royalty, with a healthy, balanced mixture of work & play!!! Visiting the Yonka production company, meeting the scientists behind the brand, experiencing first-hand the high standards within their laboratories & how the product and skincare brand is created was incredible. It reinforced & instilled in Audrey a great ethos & work ethic within her clinic and a great passion for respecting our skin & treating it with the upmost care. Audrey went on to gain the esteemed title, Yonka Therapist of the year in 2010 – A true highlight of her career and testament to her dedication & commitment to beautiful, healthy skin, mind & body.
Now specialising in Skin, at Secret Essence we take a passionate 360* approach, offering a variety of facials & advanced skincare treatments using only professional skincare brands Yonka Skincare, Image Skincare, Environ Skincare, Genosys Microneedling, and the Advanced Nutrition Programme supplement range. These, along with our ongoing commitment to continuous training allow us create bespoke treatment plans for each individual client and treat all skin types & concerns with the upmost care.
