Meet The Team
Audrey
Best described as the ultimate perfectionist, she is a driven, creative, artistic & kind soul by nature. Finding her niche within the beauty industry early in life she achieved Honours Diploma in aesthetic treatments with C.I.B.T.A.C. & C.I.D.E.S.C.O. international qualifications from the prestigious Coogan Bergin College of Beauty Therapy.
She worked in many wonderful clinics throughout Ireland gaining valuable experience, working with wonderful brands & inspiring people. This gave her the confidence & passion to manifest her own dreams & she proudly opened her own clinic, Secret Essence Health & Beauty Clinic, in 2005.
Her sheer dedication, work ethic, commitment to ongoing training & to her clients, has seen her business grow from strength to strength & evolve over the years, now sitting proudly among the top skincare clinics in the midlands.
In 2005, around the same time as opening, she became The Offaly Rose of Tralee. An honour she holds very dear to her heart, is immensely proud of & carries very fond memories of.
Secret Essence winning the Irish title of Yonka Salon of the year 2008 was a huge achievement for her. Not only that, she went on to gain the coveted title, Yonka Therapist of the year in 2010 – A true highlight of her career and testament to her dedication & commitment to beautiful, healthy skin, mind & body.
That same year, showing her very creative side, Audrey proudly received a scholarship to train in France with Make-Up Maestro, Serge Louis Alvarez & his team at his academy in the beautiful town of Valence – It was a wonderful experience, working with such a professional, trendy & unique brand, SLA Paris. Something quite special she is very grateful & fortunate to have experienced.
When out of the clinic, (& let’s be real, sometimes in the clinic!) Audrey will more than likely be found singing - Her second passion in life, music. It really is food for your soul & with it in your life, you’ll never be lonely. Proudly working with many Musical Societies across the midlands, Audrey can often be found on stage performing. Winning the AIMS Best Actress Award 2011 with Birr Stage Guild before going on to gain a scholarship to train on London’s West End. Not willing to sacrifice her high standards within her clinic or the wonderful opportunity to train, she fully committed to both, travelling back & forth to London weekly after a long week at the clinic. While challenging, it was wonderful. It opened her eyes to so many new, exciting, inspiring things & made her realise if you dream it & believe it, you’ll absolutely achieve it!
